Two accounts gone over seven seconds

UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW — nothing has changed I am replacing my earlier positive review of this firm. How that positive review came to exist is part of the story. First time round, I breached two accounts by hedging across them. That one was genuinely my fault and I said so. What I complained about was the handling — delays, agents passing it around, a final answer quoting their own terms. Nothing moved. Then I posted a negative review, and only then did the CEO contact me personally. What he asked for was that I take it down, and he offered to reinstate my accounts, plural. I removed it, posted a positive one, and gave them public credit. They returned one account. So I bought two more. Both were breached the next day, again for hedging. What actually happened, from my own terminal journal: I was long across everything I held. A market sell order was transmitted from my phone nine seconds after the app came to the foreground, and the app was backgrounded immediately after. Seven seconds later their system closed everything. I checked the logs myself and I accept the order came from my device. No fraud, no manipulation — I want to be clear about that. But the long and the short were on the SAME account. The hedging rule exists to stop traders taking opposite sides across two evaluations so one is forced to pass. Long and short on one account is flat. Nothing is gamed, and on an evaluation none of their capital is at risk anyway. The order also has no stop attached, which is inconsistent with how I trade — my history with them shows I attach one every time. Four days of investigation, two agents, two contradictory explanations: first that someone else may have accessed my account, then that nobody had. Final position: challenges used, no refund. Around €1,500 in a week, for seven seconds of exposure that risked none of their money and could not have benefited me. The rule is enforced on outcome, not intent. It cannot tell the difference between gaming two accounts and mis-tapping a phone. Decide for yourself whether you want that standard applied to an account you have spent months building. And weigh the glowing reviews accordingly. Mine used to be one of them.

SLIPPAGE & COMMISSION

I appreciate Brightfunded’s positive contributions to the prop firm space, and I am pleased with several of your products. However, I am very disappointed by the excessively high commissions that constantly eat into profits. In fact, I find them to be the highest in the industry, which is unacceptable. Secondly, the unpredictable slippage is far too drastic. Sell positions open well below the intended entry price, and buy positions open far above it. This keeps traders in a losing position for much longer, requiring significant market movement just to break even. Because of these issues, closed profits are consistently lower than the floating profits shown on the charts, and I am sure the company is aware of this. I urge management to actually fix this problem rather than dismissing it as an "industry standard." Claiming this is normal across other platforms is simply not true.

I have had a very disappointing experience with this company

I have had multiple issues with this company. On several occasions, they closed my trades themselves and marked my account as breached. Each time I posted an honest review on Trustpilot, I received an email from one of the company's managers saying that their finance team had made a mistake. They offered to restore my account if I removed my review, and after I deleted it, my account was reinstated. Unfortunately, the same issue happened again. This time, I opened two separate trades. One trade was closed at 1500 in loss, while the other was only about $300 in loss. Despite this, my $100,000 account was marked as breached. When I contacted customer support, I did not receive a reasonable or satisfactory explanation. Because of this experience, I felt I had no choice but to post another review. Based on my experience, this company lacks a reliable and consistent system. I hope they improve their processes and treat all traders fairly and transparently.
